Right at the heart of San Francisco, the Mission is one of the city’s most lively residential and commercial districts. While the neighborhood is home to San Francisco’s oldest surviving building the original Mission Dolores structure (ca. 1776), today it is populated by an increasing number of young professionals and families. The neighborhood is also home to two BART stations — at 16th and 24th Streets — as well as the eponymous “Mission burrito”, which can be found at any of the district’s delicious taquerias and Mexican restaurants.
