Meet Sydney

Sydney is a dual-market agent based in San Francisco and working between here and Salt Lake City, and I came to real estate the way a lot of good things happen, sideways and on purpose at the same time.

Before real estate, I spent my career in tech sales and in outdoor recreation. Tech sales taught me how to build real relationships, how to hear what someone is actually saying underneath the question they asked, and how to stay calm when a deal gets complicated at the worst possible moment. Outdoor recreation taught me the rest. When you are responsible for people in an environment you do not fully control, you learn to prepare obsessively, communicate clearly, and stay steady so everyone else can. That combination turned out to be the whole job.

I have been in real estate for six years. Within three, I hit top 2% producer status, and I built my business almost entirely on referrals and relationships. I own District Living Collective, a referral-driven, white-glove brokerage in Salt Lake City, where I lead a team serving clients at the highest level. Owning a brokerage has made me a sharper agent. I have seen every part of a transaction from every angle, including the parts clients never see, and I know exactly where deals tend to break.

I was drawn to San Francisco for the energy of it. This is a city that does not let you coast. It is full of people building things, and being surrounded by that raises your own standard for what is possible and what you are willing to settle for. It made me more creative in how I work, sharper in how I negotiate, and more ambitious about what I want my business to be. I wanted to be somewhere that pushes me, and this is the place that does it. Joining Harper was an easy decision for the same reason. I wanted a boutique firm with high standards and agents I could learn from, not a place where I would be one name on a very long roster.

Outside of work, I am a solo traveler. I have spent time in Vietnam, South Korea, Türkiye, Eastern Europe, and South Africa, usually organized around food, live music, and whatever museum I can talk my way into. At home I love to run and take cooking classes.

What I want clients to know is simple. I will tell you the truth, including when the truth is that a house is wrong for you or the number is wrong for the market. I move fast, I over-communicate, and I do not disappear after closing. Most of my business comes from people I have already worked with, and I intend to keep it that way.
